Cahll--ege !

I have forgotten how much I love typing like it's the last day I'm ever going to type. (I'm talking about my bullet speed-lengthy rants) . I took such a long break from this that I'm slowly losing the ability to do that.

Even the posting layout on blogger has changed ! (is that how long I was absent?)

Anyway.
HAYY there, HAYYYYY. ;)

..that's my college life in a picture.

Everyday, the theme is: Drained out of energy. But twas worth it.

That is my college's relax area. It is amazing. I remember taking a nap on one of the sofas there, with my music in my ears. When I woke up it was like I didn't know what day it was or where I was. *That says something about it's comfort.* Unless you're not my size, in which your body cant fit in that and you're bound to wake up with aches that last weeks.

*perks of being small, yay.* (Y)

To summarize, I love it, my college life.

Things that are different about it:

1. It's been months and I'm STILL meeting new faces and personalities. Such a large scale social environment for a college which isn't even thaaat big.

2. I have properly developed my own identity, and am appreciated for it. (In other words, I've never been more comfortable being myself)

3. It is easy to develop crushes on everyone

4. I am much more active and walking, and by the time I come home all I want to do is sleep (which compels me to skip dinner) , which translates to ... WEIGHT LOSSSS~! :)

5. The friends I've made are so very different and constructive for me. It's unhealthy how attached I've gotten to them in such a short while. *I'm looking at you, Roseveen.*

6. The freedom of choice when it comes to style/choice of clothes. Like, I can't be that 'pick-first-thing-I-see-in-closet-and-put-it-on' person anymore. If anything, I learned that taking the effort to incorporate your style into clothes is well rewarding. :)

--but of course sometimes it is perfectly fine to wear weirdass things for the sake of it.

7. This one is important. Important enough to be put in bold and red. SELF DISCIPLINE. It is IMPOSSIBLE to be a cool ass kid like me and still get them grades without the self discipline to study. I used to have it, but it is slipping away faster than I can say the word 'priorities'.

8. Spending money became a more prominent thing my life. "Am I willing to spoil myself with this now and not have that thing I want tomorrow?" Decisions, decisions. -.-

9. The teaching style is way more liberal and it's easy to not pay attention, (drift of) and then return to reality 10 minutes later and be like; 'What am I doing in college?' For the most part I try and not have that happen to me. I try.

10. Because a list isn't quite whole without a number 10 -- The money my parents put into this is craaazy so it makes me feel HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE for slacking. The goal-- the aim here, is supposed to be 3A*s, so I can get some scholarship and they wont come up with any more money if I have intentions of going overseas. I keep needing to remind myself of this.

I guess that's it for now. I am sorry for semi-abandoning this? :(

Pre-college preperations.

I NEVER used to care about style/fashion; like, I was the kind of person who would pick the first tee I find in my closet and pair it with the only pair of denim jeans (an oversized one, while at it) I own. Back then I had hair I didn't have to care to maintain. I could comb my hair with my fingers !

It alternated between disorderly curly + ruffled hair and unusually straight (ironed the day before) teenage boy hair. I thought my Bieber-fringe (before there was a 'Bieber'!) was the coolest thing I did for myself, ever.

If it was worth anything, my hair could've been my trademark. Because until up to when I was 16-ish, my hair's length never exceeded just where my neck ends and my shoulder begins, (and not many girls go for that kind of hair for fairly obvious reasons.)

When I (more like my parents) finally DID let it grow, it transitioned into this.

------------------ >

I believe it was a turning point. When physical appearance and what not started to actually make sense and matter in my life.

Now I have a preference for clothes. I actually care to look at what other people wear and *mentally* credit their efforts to look the way they do. I take time to value details and colour on clothing. I fancy good hair. The meaning of "shopping" has been renewed.

******

On the materialistic wishlist at this point:

--yes, I plan to buy all of these with my own hard-earned money.

1. Brightly coloured skinny jeans.

2. Maroon/Black Cherry lipstick.

3. Dresses with unique motives (eg; tribal, psychedelic, paisley..)

4.  Plain coloured V necks.
5. Halter dresses.

6. High top sneakers.

7. Slip-ons.

8. Ankle boots.

9. A Nokia C2-03 ?

10. A cool minimalist black watch.

11. Plaid shirts.

I have a few months to get in shape and work to actually fund all these things. Then I'm going to walk into college like a BOSS.

BOSS I tell you!! (:

6 thoughts from the 6th.

I am really not used to short theme-less posts, but I'll give it a try.

- I wish my friend knew how nice and authentic her blog is; if only she'd let the world see it to appreciate it as much as I do.

- I miss being a die hard fan of something. Listening to Lily Allen again. The fact that she suddenly decided to quit music is; whaaa..? I don't know how much longer can I wait for her new album before the effect she has on me completely fades.

- I prefer making new friends through the internet than in real life.

- I have written a couple of decent lines over the years, they just don't string together to make a complete song. I've not written a song in forever. I think I've lost it.

-  My goal in life is to expand my vocabulary and develop my own style until I become the person 'young me' would look up to.

 - I have always dreamed of blue highlights on my hair ever since I knew what highlights were, but let's face it, with my skin tone, face shape and hair texture , I'd be the walking disaster little kids point at in malls . Not even in the 'Whoa, she's cool !' sense.

Having said that, I'm going au natural . After all, some people be payin' to get my curls!  So the plan of stealing Taylor Swift's look from her latest song is on hold. It'd take ages for my hair to grow back to the way it was.

Twenty twelve in a blog post.

You know? I was going to end this year thinking I've done more 'living' in this one year than I have for the past 5, but December had to come and mess it up. Eitherway, this is to recollect one of the relatively good years of my life, 2012.

1. I became the secretary of the librarian board, for my final year in my high-school.

2. Made my final oral project video, (which was dead boring and not very me) but the together-ness with these people was fun though!

3. Represented the school for some singing thing with my friends-- we sang a song which Xing Jun and I had composed.

4. Became a cheerleading captain, and although it must have been the most stressful experience, --drama overload! ..got third. (Bolehlah, kan.)

5. Attended my final leadership camp with my fellow form 5-ers.

 6. Performed / sang to some orphans for a sunday school project. Note: first time being in an orphanage.

7. Thought a sunday school class. That's one thing I can cancel off the list of things I see myself doing in the future.

8. Got confirmed. And I must add; my faith blossomed even more AFTER I left sunday school.

9. Bonded with Calvin and Foo Shen, got RM 500 to produce a short film.

10. Produced the short film we were supposed to, which got third place,in a national level competition. Note: first time I held a mock check.  (:

11. Bonded with my teacher(s) (:

12. Met some nice juniors. But my busy schedule did not give us much time to get to know each other enough for me to miss them, ngahah!

13. Made the most careless exam mistakes, of my LIFE.. (but I'd prefer not to dwell on that)

14. Survived (years) in a class with these people. Some of which I see totally differently now. We've all grown tremendously.

15. Developed an anxiety disorder, in which I faint under extreme emotions. No seriously. Google calls it 'panic attack'.

16. Met the love of my life, --'Pao' is the name I have given her.

17. Met Timothy -- like, weeks before school ended. He is a multi-talented, musically inclined individual who I must not lose contact with if I have plans of jamming in the near future.

18. Graduated high school, omg!

19. Became sort of like a lady, tehee. (This is major, considering I was almost an entirely different 'species' a couple of years back.)

20. Got a text from a complete stranger who claims to know me and says I have an 'interesting personality'.

21. Sat through SPM without fainting. Which doesn't mean I didn't FEEL like fainting.

22. Got selected for national service! --No, I did not but I'd love to believe I did. (Malaysia, y u no need my service!?)

23. My mum got me a birthday cake ! A slice, at least? And a bunch of nice people from my class bought me and Kah Junn a cake.  It was touching.
[The last time I had a birthday cake was in 2008, so yes, it is a big deal.]

24.Bought many dresses. And my first handbag.

25. And best of all, remained friends with the people who can actually say they've watched me grow.  ♥

So thank you, 2012, for not being a complete screw-up. You've done a lot to my personal growth. You will be missed. (:
